ICE MONITORING

-
Fall/Winter: 2 sessions (3 if you have 2 skaters)
-
Spring: 2 sessions (3 if you have 2 skaters)
Unfulfilled Commitment Fee: $35 fee applies for each session not completed.
This helps ensure safety and smooth operations during club ice time.

It takes over 1,000 volunteer hours each year to support LMFSC’s programming, events, and operations. These efforts raise funds, keep our ice safe, and ensure skaters can enjoy a well-run club environment. When we volunteer, we lead by example—showing our kids that hard work and community matter. With over 30 years invested in developing not just great skaters but great people, volunteering is simply how we each take our turn supporting something bigger than ourselves.

Service Options
Running LMFSC is truly a partnership between our board, coaches, skaters, and families—and we value your role in making our club a success. We know volunteering can sometimes feel overwhelming, but there are many opportunities to get involved in ways that fit your schedule and strengths.

Each family is responsible for ensuring their assigned volunteer commitment is completed. If you are unable to fulfill your assignment for any reason, please arrange for a replacement to take your place.
Families may select from the list of available volunteer positions in the attached sign-up, which also includes the number of credits for each role.
If you’re unsure which role might be the best fit, our LMFSC Volunteer Chair would be happy to help you find an opportunity that works for you - just click the email icon. Together, we can keep our club strong, vibrant, and fun for everyone.
Penalty for Not Completing Service Requirement
If a parent fails to meet these requirements by the date due or does not pay the penalty fee described below, the skater(s) shall be deemed to be “not in good standing” with LMFSC and US Figure Skating. Skaters deemed “not in good standing” will not be allowed to: BUY CLUB ICE, TEST, COMPETE, COACH OR RENEW THEIR OFFICIAL US FIGURE SKATING MEMBERSHIP until such time as the requirement or monetary equivalent has been completed/submitted and accepted by the skater’s home club.
